What we run into

Red Oak New Builds and Old Town

Brand-New Service Equipment

Homes whose service was installed under the 2020 NEC or later may already have an outdoor emergency disconnect near the meter and surge protection at the panel. We keep those features intact when adding circuits.

Adding to a New Home

New buyers often want a charger, outdoor outlets, a ceiling fan in each bedroom or a TV mount with power. Those are straightforward jobs when the panel has room.

Older Homes in the Original Town

A small share of Red Oak's homes predate 1980. They may need grounding, GFCI protection and panel work that newer houses do not.

Red Oak FAQ

My Red Oak house has a switch box outside by the meter. What is it?

It is likely an outdoor emergency disconnect, which the 2020 National Electrical Code added for new and replaced dwelling services so firefighters can shut off power from outside.

How far is Red Oak from Crandall?

About 40 minutes without traffic, roughly 26 miles by road.

Can you add outlets to a brand-new house?

Yes. We add circuits and outlets, check that the panel has room and handle the permit when one is needed.
